Day of the Spears  by designer Michael W. Kennedy is a computer-based simulation of the battle of Isandlwana fought on January 22, 1879 between the British and Zulu empires. In addition to the historical scenario, the game has two other scenarios, including one where Chelmsford returns and another where the British army does not split into different columns but remains whole to meet the Zulu attack. Play against the computer Zulu opponent or against another person. One play option is the Moya Effect, which simulates the tactic used by Zulu warriors to avoid British cannon and rifle volleys.
